0431-027-81 Job Type: Permanent Title: Registered Sales Assistant Location: Chicago Description: Summary: Global Investment Bank seeks a Sales Support person to act as the conduit between the front office/clients and the rest of the Bank, providing full support directly after the point of execution through the lifecycle to settlement and confirmation. The overall objective of the Sales Assistant is to provide high levels of service to internal clients (Sales) and external clients (Customers) whilst mitigating the operational risk associated with the activities they perform to support the business areas. Responsibilities: Provide support to Sales for all product types executed by the Sales desks Trade Capture into relevant systems dependant on asset class Verbally confirm trades with clients on trade date for fixed income products Liaise with clients to obtain and coordinate the processing of trade allocations Facilitate Account Opening and Account Maintenance liaising with Sales and Clients to ensure that necessary documentation is received on a timely basis to enable client adoption to be completed to ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory rules. Monitor fixed income fails; liaise with clients, sales and fails team to ensure fails are resolved in a timely manner and to mitigate risk of bottom line adverse impact to the Bank. Follow up on operational queries on trade breaks coming from Clients/Documentation/Settlement/Sales/Trading etc. Day to day first point of contact for Sales with respect to resolution of queries on trades executed by the desk Respond to Ad hoc reporting requests from CBS management, Sales Business Management and the Sales desks Provide input into business requirements documentation, actively participating in User Acceptance Testing Keep current with all market/industry initiatives and understand their impact on the business, escalating where appropriate to ensure necessary changes to systems/processes/organization takes place as required. Requirements: 2+ years related experience, preferably in fixed income and/or derivative product role Bachelor’s Degree MBA a plus Series 7, 63, and 24 would be beneficial Strong technical and Excel user skills Very strong communication skills for effective interaction with Clients, front office and operations colleagues An understanding of the operational Trade Lifecycle and trade capture platforms a plus Candidate should have an appreciation of Industry initiatives, Novation Protocol, Electronic Vendor Platforms Category: Contact: tony@bcius.com |
