Summary/Responsibilities:
Growing investment management firm seeks talented marketing professional to further develop firm’s marketing strategy/brand-building initiative via integrated communications programs
Role will potentially offer track to Chief Marketing Officer function
Must be able to educate key market channels – high-net-worth/institutional investors/RIAs and B-Ds – about hedge fund products
Must have extremely high level capability/knowledge surrounding the following areas:
market positioning/brand identity/value proposition messaging/distribution and channel strategies/client retention/relationship expansion/e-engagement/product launches/campaigns/graphic design/brand standards/web strategy/webinars/marketing production and execution
Work closely with senior management to develop strategic marketing plans for all distribution channels
Oversee execution of strategic marketing plans through websites/direct mail/electronic delivery/webinars/onsite meetings/presentations/conferences/seminars/public relations
Lead new product launches and manage production/distribution of comprehensive investment fund materials on weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis
Create/implement/direct business-development and client-servicing campaigns using CRM software
Manage information delivery to current clients to enhance customer service/retention
Work closely with Research Department to produce/distribute white papers on hedge-fund strategies
Lead the writing/design/editing/production of all marketing materials/communications
Produce firm’s annual investment conference
Ensure compliance with investment industry regulatory restrictions covering marketing/business development
Lead/manage/develop a staff of professionals

Requirements:
7+ years marketing experience required
5+ years alternative investment experience and in-depth knowledge of hedge fund/managed futures strategies/products required
Strong samples of work required
Deep understanding of investment management and ability to apply analytical skills to communicate complex investment strategies required
Familiarity with high-net-worth investors, RIAs/BDs required
Experience at top tier financial services firm strongly preferred
MBA or similar credential strongly preferred
Design experience strongly preferred
Understanding of regulation/compliance governing BDs/RIAs and the marketing of hedge funds/managed futures investments
Outstanding skill working collaboratively with senior management/client-development executives/other departments
Leadership skills to develop strong internal team
Effective communicator with superb writing ability across all functional marketing activities
Highly analytical eye for detail/precision
Project-management experience
Strong PowerPoint skills and expertise across the MS Office suite required
Preferred: CRM experience, Series 7, 63/65 and 3 registrations, CAIA
